Shinhwa postpones comeback to January..aiming to make 2015 the year of Shinhwa
Shinhwa’s comeback, originally set to happen in the latter half of this year, has been postponed to January 2015.
The group recently confirmed following a internal meeting that it would make its return in the first week of January. The members are now rescheduling their group and solo comebacks. The timing of the comeback shows their determination toward making 2015 the year of Shinhwa.
Shinhwa has concerts, festivals, and other exciting activities in store for its fans. It will of course be holding a concert in March to celebrate its 17th anniversary. In August the group then plans to hold a Shinhwa festival that will celebrate Shinhwa’s history with its fans.
The group will then embark on a world tour. It plans to expand its reach across the world as it decided it could not meet the demands pouring in from so many different countries with its Asia tour.
The members will thus be dedicating next year to Shinhwa alone. They especially plan to put everything they have into next year’s promotions as this year they didn’t hold many events as a group.
Lee Minwoo, the member in charge of Shinhwa’s album production, commented recently, “The name of Shinhwa has always been followed by the titles ‘longest-running group’ and ‘the group with great teamwork’, but I believe now it’s time to take things to a new level. We’ll make a comeback in the first week of January next year to prove again how Shinhwa is different.”
It is often said that Shinhwa and its successful promotions inspired other groups from the 1990s to make their own returns. God and Fly to the Sky are known to have been inspired a lot by Shinhwa’s popularity. Fans are now looking forward to what Shinhwa has up its sleeve to take over 2015 in a time when such groups have landed successfully in the scene.
